Giovanni Magginetti

Giovanni Magginetti has been an anthropology instructor at Cypress College for over 10 years and has taught nearly every intro-level course across several SoCal colleges, most recently CSUF and Rancho Santiago. He holds an M.A. in Biological Anthropology from CSUF, where his research focused on facial structure, attraction, hunting ability, warriorship, and social status among Achuar men. He is passionate about teaching the science of evolution with an eye toward social justice—challenging racial stereotypes, misogyny, and anti-LGBTQIAA rhetoric. He was recently accepted into CSUF’s Environmental Studies master’s program.
